Detailed Itenary
DAY 1: Drive for 6 – 7 HRS from DEHRADUN – SANKRI
We'll travel to Sankri by car from Mussoorie...
Along the way, take a lunch break. The Yamuna River is the starting point of this enjoyable trip, which concludes with the stunning Tons River. There are some very beautiful pine forest sections on today’s journey. We will settle into a picturesque hotel or tent when we get to Sankri and have some time to relax. To revitalize your muscles for the hike the following day, take a stroll in this charming village in the evening. Sankri is where you will stay overnight.
DAY 2: Drive from Sankri – Taluka by road for 12km & then trek from Taluka – Seema (12 km)
We start the day with a short, picturesque, and daring drive to Taluka...
the beginning location of our trek. You will hike along the Supin River and through a beautiful mixed woodland today. A steep part is thrown in for good measure, but the grade is mostly gentle. This region is fortunate to have a unique and ancient culture that has fortunately survived. You’ll be able to see it up close and personal today.
You will encounter residents of neighboring communities along the walk and witness some of the region’s distinctive architectural splendor. We will travel to Seema, a small market town, passing through several villages. We’ll spend the night in these tents and camp in the beautiful meadows beside the river before Seema arrives.
DAY 3: After breakfast, trek starts from Seema to Rainbasira waterfall for (8km)
Today, the Supin River is also followed by the trail...
Debshu Bugyal, the first checkpoint, offers a stunning view of Kala Nag, also known as Black Top. After crossing Debshu Bugyal, we’ll head down to the river over a sandy route and a woodland with loose stones. We’ll cross the Supin River on a bridge.
After we cross the bridge, we’ll climb again, this time with the Supin River to our right. We will have to take a detour due to some challenging sections with a slippery road. We’ll keep going down the river until we reach our campsite along the river, where you may spend the night.
DAY 4: After breakfast, the trek starts from the Rainbasira waterfall to Thange camp via Ruinsara Lake (10km)
Our walk along the Supin River is coming to an end today...
We will get in Ruinsara Tal by the afternoon. Ruinsara is a lovely lake encircled by meadows and rhododendron plants. The trail is not difficult, but it is tiring. We’ll be staying in tents at the beautiful Thange campsite.
From the campground, the vista is breathtaking. To the southwest of Ruinsara Tal is Yamuna Kanta, a pass that leads to Yamunotri and is rated as a strenuous hike. To the east is the beautiful Banderpooch Peak (6,387 m).
DAY 5: Thange camp acclimatization day
A day of relaxation, acclimatization, and exploration is essential at Thange Camp...
The bright sun and the reed-fringed, pure lake appear utterly captivating. Discover this incredibly lovely spot, which provides close-up views of the White Top, Swargarohini, Dhumdhar Kandi, and the spectacular Bandarpoonch. We’ll explore Kyarkoti today and see some of the most stunning fields. At Thange Camp, we will spend the night in tents.
Day 6: Trek from Thange camp to Bali Pass summit camp for (6km)
At last, we begin our journey to the summit of Bali Pass...
The last part of the walk is a rugged path with boulder fragments. Beginning at Bali Udiyari and finishing at Bali Pass, the gradient will be high. We reach the Bali Pass after hiking for a few hours. From here, take in 360-degree views of the Yamnotri valley below, as well as the Swargarohini, Banderpooch, and Garhwal peaks.
DAY 7: After breakfast, Trek from summit camp to Damini camp for (11Km)
The most thrilling and difficult portion of the trek starts after you cross the Bali Pass...
We’ll descend the almost vertical road, which is paved with big stones and scree. After this section, we will come across the goat road, which is going to be a somewhat more challenging hike. After this very challenging stage, we will reach the camp. We will arrive at our campground at Damni and spend the night in tents following this incredibly difficult portion of the journey.
DAY 8: After breakfast Damini to Jankichatti to Dehradun by taxi
Today, we'll start our hike from Damini to the Jankichatt roadhead...
Along the route, we stop to honor the sacred Yamunotri temple. You will reach Jankichatti after hiking for about four to five hours. From here, we’ll get into a car and go to Dehradun. You will go for your next location as the voyage comes to a close.
